NJPW news and thoughts

Director Uei resigns
This was kinda surprising, or maybe not since he was responsible for that debacle of an IWGP heavyweight title match last week where Kensuke Sasaki beat Fujita for the title in under three minutes. Question now is who will take over the booking for New Japan, and whether or not he can fix the current title situation. Cause lets face it, the title's worth has been SHIT all year.

Chono 20th Anniversary Show early card

Masahiro Chono's 20th Anniversary Show on 11/3, titled Chrono Stream is looking to be a good event, and the early card looks really good, especially with the Toshiaki Kawada taking on Katsuyori Shibata one-on-one! This ONE match alone peaks my interest to get this show, solely to see Kawada show Shibata how to throw a REAL knock-out kick! On that note, I hope NJPW aren't thinking of trying to catch lightning in a bottle with Sasaki and Tanahashi in the main event (~cough *Nakamura* ~cough).

Ultimo Dragon to unmask as ASAI in WWE
At a recent independant show ran by Ultimo Dragon, he announced that he would indeed be unmasking when he returns to WWE soon, as a super cruiserweight heel known as ASAI. I'll believe it when I see it.
But the show itself looks really fun and I'm thinking of getting a tape of it should it become available. I'm especially interested to check out the "Sake Drinking Death Match" with Toru Yano!
